Privacy Policy
Effective July 21, 2026 · Last updated July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how New England Weddings ("we", "us", "our"), operated by New England Premier Events in Epsom, NH, collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website at https://ne-wedding.vercel.app (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — email address, password (stored hashed), and role (couple, vendor, or admin) when you sign up.
- Wedding profile (couples) — your name, partner's name, phone number, wedding date, wedding city and state, venue name, guest count, budget range, style preferences, and vendor categories you're looking for.
- Business listing (vendors) — business name, address, phone, email, website, hours, photos, and any descriptive content you upload.
- Messages — content of inquiries you send to vendors, and content of messages you send us via the contact form.
- Consent choices — whether you opted in to bridal-show marketing emails and to vendor lead sharing.
Information we collect automatically
- Session cookies to keep you signed in.
- A one-way hash of your IP address, used only to rate-limit anonymous contact-form and vendor-inquiry submissions.
- Aggregate page-view statistics via our hosting provider (Vercel).
Information from third parties
- Vendor profile data we import from Google Places (name, address, phone, website, photos, hours, review count). This creates unclaimed listings that vendors can later claim and edit.
- Basic profile information from Google if you sign in with Google OAuth.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and personalize your dashboard.
- To match couples with vendors in their area and in the categories they need.
- To send transactional messages (account confirmations, inquiry receipts).
- To send marketing emails about local bridal shows produced by New England Premier Events — only if you opted in during signup. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To detect abuse, prevent spam, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. When we share your information with vendors
This is important. If you check the box during onboarding that says "Share my info with matching vendors," we will share the following details with vendors on our paid Spotlight tier whose business is located in your wedding state and whose vendor category matches something you're still looking for:
- Your first name and your partner's first name
- Your wedding date, city, and state
- Guest count and budget range (if provided)
- Your email address and phone number (if provided)
We do not share this information with vendors on the free tier, nor with any third party outside the matching Spotlight vendors. You can turn off lead sharing at any time from your dashboard, which stops future access; vendors who already received your info are bound by our Vendor Terms to stop using it upon your request.
If you do not check that box, no vendor sees your contact information unless you explicitly message them through our platform.
4. Other parties we share with
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider (data stored in the United States).
- Vercel — our web hosting provider.
- Stripe — payment processor for vendor subscriptions (activated once paid tiers launch).
- Google (Maps & Places) — for displaying vendor locations and importing public business data.
- Law enforcement — if required by valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of New England Weddings, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or list resellers.
5. Cookies
We use only strictly-necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and short preference cookies (your selected state and wedding date) to make browsing smoother. See our Cookie Policy for details.
6. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — you can view and edit your wedding profile, or your vendor listing, at any time from your dashboard.
- Deletion — email us at info@myneevent.com to request full account deletion. We will remove your account and profile within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data may remain in backups for up to 12 months.
- Marketing opt-out — click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or update your consents in your dashboard.
- Lead-sharing opt-out — turn off "Share my info with matching vendors" in your dashboard at any time.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of "sharing" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. Our vendor lead-sharing feature is opt-in only. To exercise any of these rights, email info@myneevent.com.
7. Data retention
We retain account and wedding-profile data for as long as your account is active. Message history is retained for two years to help resolve disputes. Deleted accounts are purged from primary storage within 30 days.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted database storage, hashed passwords, and row-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute protection from unauthorized access.
9. Children
Our Service is intended for people age 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected such information, we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify registered users by email or by a notice on the Service before the changes take effect.
