DMCA Copyright Policy
Effective July 21, 2026 · Last updated July 21, 2026
New England Weddings respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the "DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512, we will respond expeditiously to notices of alleged copyright infringement that are properly reported to our designated agent.
1. Submitting a takedown notice
If you believe content on New England Weddings infringes your copyright, please send a notice containing all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — a direct URL is best.
- Your contact information: full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
2. Designated agent
Send takedown notices and counter-notifications to:

3. Counter-notification
If content you posted was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in New Hampshire (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the party that submitted the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content ten to fourteen business days after forwarding it to the original complainant, unless the complainant files an action seeking a court order against you.
4. Repeat-infringer policy
It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, to disable or terminate the accounts of users who are found to repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others. We keep records of DMCA notices and any disciplinary action taken.
5. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please consult your own counsel before filing a notice or counter-notification.
